The use of simple props to maximize the opening and awareness of the body provides support to the less flexible and extra extension to the more advanced student.
Using yoga props as an aid is one of the hallmarks of Iyengar Yoga. The purpose of the props is to assist the student to attain ideal alignment and enable him/her to have experiences that they wouldn’t be able to have had otherwise.
In this class we will experience the poses differently utilizing various yoga props as well as the yoga rope wall. We will learn about these tools and experience how they can be invaluable for your yoga practice.

About the Instructor
Cristina Roy is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and has been practicing yoga since 2005. She has had a lifelong passion for helping people and loves sharing the tremendous benefits she herself received from yoga with others. Nothing makes her happier than hearing from her students the improvements they’ve experienced since starting their own yoga journey. She lives in Chelsea of the Town of Wappinger, NY with her husband where she operates a small yoga studio.
