Yoga for Strong Bones

Middle aged woman doing yoga pose Adho Mukha Svanasana - Downward Facing Dog

Studies show that a consistent yoga practice was found to increase bone density.

In this class we’ll explore the recommended basic poses for bone health.  You will receive personalized attention with modifications and prop use as needed. If you have minor health issues and injuries this is a good class for you.  Weight bearing exercises are often prescribed for those with osteoporosis and yoga is a low-cost, save alternative. Yoga puts more pressure on bone and by opposing one group of muscles against another, it stimulates osteocytes, the bone-making cells.
